Daily Home Screening Information for Students
Parents/Guardians: Please do your part by completing this short screening each morning before your child leaves for school.
This checklist does not need to be turned into your child’s school. Please use it as a guide to assess your childs’ health.
If your child answers Yes to any symptoms question, your child should remain home. He/she will be excused from school. The student can return to school after 10 days since symptoms started and 24 hours with no fever (without the use of fever-reducing medicine) and symptoms improving.
Symptoms:
If your child has any of the following symptoms, that indicates a possible illness that may decrease the student’s ability to learn and also put them at risk for spreading illness to others. Please check your child for these symptoms:
- Temperature 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher
- Sore throat
- New uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing (for students with chronic allergic/asthmatic cough, a change in their cough from baseline)
- Diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain
- New onset of severe headache, especially with a fever
Masks/Face Shield Reminder
Masks/face shields:
All individuals will be required to wear masks/face shields within the school buildings and at bus stops and on the bus. Guests into the buildings, including parents, are to wear a mask/face shield upon entry.
